Launched in the market in 2007, the Toyota Yaris is quite an impressive improvement over its subcompact predecessor, the Toyota Echo. For 2008, it comes both as a sedan and a hatchback version and can accommodate five passengers. Toyota Motors Company has done a great job with this compact passenger car. It may be small in size, but lots of importance is given on the comfort section of the passengers. That's the reason why there are many innovative arrangements for making room for a number of cargoes. Increased storage space and roomier interior cabin are the positive sides of this European based designed car.
Practical Cargo Spacing
The Liftback models can accommodate bulkier cargo as compared to the sedan's trunk. The Yaris Sedan has a good-sized trunk and a 60/40-split backseat that can be folded down to extend the overall cargo space into a wide cabin. The cargo capacity extends from 9.3 cubic feet to 25.7 cubic feet. Folding the seats is a very easy process; one just has to release knobs atop the backrests. With the optional 60/40 seatbacks up, the Yaris Sedan's spacious trunk offers nearly 12.9 cu. ft. of capacity and folding the seatbacks expands that to 25.7 cu. ft. Both Yaris models have an array of storage spaces in the interior cabin, including a center console with built-in storage and cup holders in the front and rear.
For a small car, Yaris has adequate cargo space arrangement. Bigger cargoes will be difficult to arrange inside the cabin but for smaller sized cargoes, there is enough apace.
